To be a Prince of the Earth in Prasad is to be divine, worshipped as a god and lavished with every luxury imaginable, or sometime even the unimaginable. The exotic satrapy lavishly rewards its scions, something the Dragonblooded of Clan Ophris heartily endorse.

It takes a very particular sort of person to give up that indulgent lifestyle.

Ophris Sahai still wears the dull, somewhat ragged robes of a Pure Ascetic, supplemented with a slightly more colourful mantle of strange, green-and-white fur- her only real concession to the colder climes of the Hundred Kingdoms. Her skin is the reddish-brown of mahogany, and her features regal, if too hard to be considered beautiful. The Wood Aspect looks to be in her early thirties- faint crow's feet etched into the corner of her green-brown eyes and the beginnings of added weight to her frame the only real signs of age. Yet there is more than a century of experience driving Sahai, a vast tapestry of events that has led her far from her homeland and lead to her being labelled 'Anathema'.

Sahai's hands rough and covered in calluses, the mark of a lifetime of working as both gardener and healer. Thin roots mar the back of her hands like scars- and tiny, wickedly recurved wooden thorns grow through her dark skin between her wrists and elbows. Despite both her self-imposed exile and her diaspora, she keeps two objects from her old life. The first is her powerbow, Spring's Eternal Flowering. The bow matches Sahai in height, living wood and small flowers blossoming along its length- foxglove, honeysuckle, miniture roses, orchids and, most recently, passionflowers. The other is a simple brass lantern that spends most of its time hanging from her rope belt, unlit. The simple, battered lantern is of far too poor a make to have belonged to even an acetic dragonblooded, and has held up poorly to the passage of time. Nonetheless, Sahai has kept it on her person for decades.
