The mayor appointed a local cleric, Sister Gwendelon Gilkrist, to be the town constable. Although Sister Gwendelon was harsh on more than one occasion, she delivered what the townsfolk wanted. In less than a year, word of "Gwendelon's Wrath" spread across the town, leading many potential criminals to more upstanding pursuits.
