Zayne Solorien

Zayne Solarian is one of a set of quintuplets borne by Theala as a consequence of her capture and torture by Iuz, the Old One many years ago.

During her imprisonment in the Howling Hills, Theala was used as "bait" to lure the members of her Ranger company to Oerth where they were quickly captured.  Iuz managed to capture at least two thirds of her "brothers and sisters" in the Company, including Brianna's past life.  Five of them were murdered by Iuz, and their spirits magically created a pregnancy.

The children were born in Enstad, Celene, some months later.  Zayne was the third born, preceded by his sister, Brianna.  They are often referred to as the "twins" as they share close physical features and have grown at the same rate.  Briana and Zayne are half-Grey Elves.  Their sister Arianna, who was born first is physically much younger, having been born a full blooded Grey Elf.  Their brother Brand is technically the youngest, yet appears the oldest as he is one quarter elf, one quarter orc, and half human.

Zayne is a pleasant, cheerful, happy young man.  Like his mother he is stubborn, and insists on doing things his own way.  He is talented at music, and did learn  some magic and swordplay while living in Celene, although it is uncertain how much he learned or whether he has kept up his practice in the magic arts.  He is athletic and fit, and capable of taking care of himself.  He is devoted to his sister Brianna, and the two occasionally finish each others sentences.  He loves his mother, and refuses to call his aunt and adoptive stepmother, Llywellen, mother.

Zayne appears as a young man, approximately 12-14 years of age in human terms.  He is still growing, but currently stands at 5'5".  He has blond hair with reddish highlights, and violet eyes.  He lives with his uncle and adoptive father, Galen, Lord of Solarian Keep.  Zayne idolizes his uncle, and aspires to become a Paladin of Pelor.

Zayne passed away in CY 603.
