Tark Ka-Olrig

Tark Ka-Orilg, so named as he came from the Holaka Islands and was a descendant of Kaz De-Orilg, was born in an auspicious night. His grandmother, a Priestess of Chronepsis, had an oracular vision on the day of his birth, one linking the newborn Tark to Honor's Face. Unsure of what this meant, his grandmother Telig saw to it that the boy was raised in the faith. The lad grew strong early on, and trained with his father, a noted warrior. When Tark reached his 17th year, his father was called away to a duty that his honor demanded of him. While Tark wanted to join his father, he was deemed 'not yet skilled enough' to take his father's side as Shieldmate. While his father was gone, Tark redoubled his efforts to make himself worthy in his father's eyes. Telig took the time to instruct Tark in the worship and stewardship of Chronepsis' faith, making the boy an aspiring acolyte. Within two years, he had gained enough knowledge and skill to be ordained as a cleric. When his father arrived not long after, he was teleported in on a litter, with his left leg missing. Tark and Telig worked feverishly to save the ailing fighter's life, but were unable to do anything about the leg. It was suggested that they pray for magic beyond their present skill, but Tark's father Olgan would not hear of it, his pride supplanting his need. Olgan spoke to Targ of a blood debt that their family owed a member of the  Knights. As Olgan could no longer serve, it fell to Tark to render service until the blood debt was settled. Family honor demanded it. So Tark set sail for the human lands, wearing the accoutrements of a Cleric of Chronepsis. After a few misadventures he presented himself to Sir Reln. Tark now serves the Knight as a Squire as his family honor demands, and serves Chronepsis as well. His presence has steadily been welcomed as his actions (as a cleric) have improved people's opinions of him. He remains unaware of Telig's vision, or what it means for him.
