Slade has the stature of a giant among men at nine feet tall and the lithe body of a swimmer with long slender muscles built from years of effort and hard work. His once raven black hair is now slightly peppered with gray on the sides. He keeps his hair short and neat and is normally clean shaven though just as often keeps a well trimmed mustache and goatee. His dark brown eyes flash with intelligence and hide a wisdom beyond his years. He is right at the boarder of being young and old and the signs can be easily gleamed from his appearance.

He often wears well made armor that is a mix between good protection but not too restrict. It is little more than breastplate with arm and leg guards, along with a baldric that crosses his chest and over his right shoulder. A great poleaxe is kept sheathed in this baldric, a stark reminder that he is a well trained warrior that should not be trifled with. He often wears a heavy trench coat or else thick cloak over the top to finish off the outfit.
