Ithan'Drae La'Nesh

Ithan'Drae La'Nesh, or simply "Dray" among those whose tongues get twisted by Celestial, is an Eladrin - an embodiment of chaotic, vibrant goodness from a bygone age hailing from lost Arboria. Specifically, he is a Tulani, one of the leaders and champions of that erstwhile race of angelic brings. Of course, that is no more, and very few indeed are they who remember its wonders.

Though Dray could tell you of the past, he'd rather live for the present and the future. He had dedicated himself to spreading love, happiness, whimsy, creativity, hope, and all the other virtues of his lost homeland to uplift the spirits of all he meets and rebuild paradise, one joyful soul at a time.

The most common form one encounters Dray in is that of an ivory-skinned tall elf-like man, utterly gorgeous unlike anything mortal, with golden hair, silver eyes that glow bright white, and a graceful yet powerful form and presence. He always has a smile on his face, and usually it's even a happy one, and his manner of dress - and indeed his entire manner of being - presents himself as someone who doesn't take himself terribly seriously. Indeed, he spends most of his free time carousing, and any party or gala he hosts or attends are legendary.

As a wandering vagrant, he makes a "living" via mooching, music, petty cons and theft, and seduction. He doesn't really try to hide it, either, except to maintain plausible deniability, and he does enough good wherever he goes that the crimes he commit and chaos he spreads are generally accepted as a sort of "tax" or "fee" for his services.

Even if found guilty (he doesn't mind standing trial if it doesn't take too long and someone he likes insists), Dray is almost always pardoned, especially given the fates of those very very few mortal authorities who seriously dare to try to ban or harass him. Portraying himself as a sort of trickster figure appeals particularly to marginalized groups, but he doesn't have the patience or inclination to organize them beyond serving as a symbol against oppression and for a wild, bohemian lifestyle.

His colorful, chaotic fashion sense aside, certain things stand out: a crown of twisted wood of purest white sits atop his brow, a cord which appears to be spun gold encircles his waist, and a ring with a night-black gem that twinkles as if starlight is trapped within. Notably absent: any form of weapon or magical implement.

He enjoys taking other forms, though, and will do so frequently in order to uproot unhappiness, cruelty, and tyranny wherever it may be found. To him, the only thing worse than selfish or hateful disregard for others is the forceful imposition of control and order. If words of peace are insufficient - and they usually work - he turns to words of power, and as a warrior and sorcerer there are very few indeed who can match him.

Dray is unwilling to be passive in the face of threats to what little is left, but believes that true and lasting paradise is possible. As one of the very last of the Eladrin, he sees it as a joyful duty to bring it about.

Sorry, I've got to go; things are getting a little heated...
