Not much is known about Adelin to the citizens of Stony Bynmoor.  She has lived in Stony Bynmoor as long as any of those currently alive (human and halfling, anyway), though no one can seem to remember who her parents were nor why she appears to have no surviving family (note: she will admit to having been born in Stony Bynmoor, but that's the most she's ever said regarding her family).   Adelin is deemed an outcast and tends to avoid much interaction with people, all but avoiding even other elves (especially Lady Mylahndria and her group).  She also seems to have a specific distate towards the druids, though most assume she wishes her magical abilities were as strong as theirs.  Rumors also say she used to be a member of the Gilded Harpooners until she was banned from their ranks for an unspecified action, though the dwarves whisper that it's impossible since they claim to have stumbled across her during her worship of Majium many decades ago (which, although unconfirmed publicly, she does indeed worship Majium).  Adelin has long felt like an outsider to the village, and longs for a chance to prove herself to the people of Stony Bynmoor (and, more importantly, to her kin).
