Edgar is a blonde, scruffy mouthbreather who has a high-pitched warbling voice and a thin mustache that grows as fast as he can shave it, but never thick enough to look manly given his weak chin.  Look up "nerd" in the Imperial Lexicon and you'll find a picture of Ed.  For all his adolescent failings, he's still a Guardsman through and through, and his knowledge of weapons specs makes him useful so long as one can tolerate his annoying voice.
