Shae Teague

THE BASICS
Name: Shae Teague

Nickname: Lark

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Gender: female

Age: 21

Hair: black

Eyes: pale, icy blue

Distinguishing Marks: mechanical meadowlark tattoo on her right shoulder area on her back

General Appearance: Shae is a slender young woman who has an elfin beauty, but has enough curves to please those who like a handful.  Or more.  Her features are delicate, including her dark arched brows and thick, long, black eyelashes that frame those stunning eyes.  She is made for smiling, with her lush cupid's bow of a mouth.

She stands a decent 5'7", weighing in at around 135lbs, too light for her frame and height.  She tends to wear clothing too big for her to hide her fragility and uses makeup to hide any shadows you might see on her face.

HISTORY

Sexual Preferences: straight

About Your character: Shae and her brother Peregrine were orphaned when she was four years old, and he was nine.  They were given into the guardianship of their aunt and uncle, but saw very little of the benefits of the insurance that had come from their parents' deaths.

While Jack Wallace, their uncle, took an interest in Perry, Edith, their aunt, took an interest in Shae.  She set her to doing chores as soon as possible, and having her cook simple things.  Edith was very happy at the chance to unload some of the drudgery on the little girl.

Shae, when she started school, proved to be quite smart.  She was reading already, and kept getting more and more ahead of the other students through her schooling.  She had friends, was fairly popular for a 'nerd', and actually was quite pretty.

Unlike her brother, who excelled only in the physical classes for the most part, Shae was quite good in the arts and languages.  She had a talent for putting words to paper, for sketching and painting.  She was also very good at household chores, cooking and such.  She could even make her own clothing.  She was far more likely to get the necessities to make her own things than to buy mass market products, oddly enough.

She stayed away from her uncle and his friends, though.  They made her nervous, they way they watched her, leered at her.  She spent as much time as possible locked in her room, or out of the house.  She often visited Perry to get away, to feel safe, once he had gotten his own apartment.  Few people wanted to mess with Perry.

Her sixteenth year was when things crashed hard for her.  She had been in the house alone, enjoying the day, when some of her uncle's friends  had come over.  They were drunk and high as a kite, and looking to get even more so.  Shae hadn't been fast enough, and they had her stripped and pinned on the floor, not even caring that she was screaming her head off.

Luckily for her, Perry had dropped by for a visit, and broke the door down, and beat the holy hell out of the four drunks.  Neighbors had called the police, and soon the four were on trial, then convicted of, attempted rape, assault, and drug running.  She then went under her brother's guardianship.

Shae's graduation was another turning point.  The Wallaces died in a car crash, with the house and garage going to them.  Perry and she kept things going, but she was slowly becoming more and more withdrawn.  She had never gone through any kind of counseling after the attack, and her body image changed, and she was trying to hide from the world.  She was slowly slipping away from her eating disorder.

Perry decided to leave their hometown and move somewhere things would be diffeent.  Even at twenty-one, she knew she couldn't make it alone.  They sold the house and the garage, everything they didn't need, and headed out.  She had no idea where they'd end up, and really didn't care.  At this point, Perry was her entire world, which was not a very good thing.  She just had no idea how to trust, to really live again.
