Saint Sadiq of Empty Spaces

Sadiq Al-Kaje was an architect whose designs for early Miir forced the great Houses to leave light corridors and gaps between their towers, allowing the Steps of Heaven to flourish and preventing Miiran epidemics of rickets on the scale he'd seen in densely-packed Imperial cities. He created some of Miir's stunning viewpoints, where the city can be seen spread as delicately as rose petals around the line of sight thrown to the horizon, to the greater glory of Ba.

Sadiq is usually called upon to bless new houses and to encourage a shift in living conditions for the desperate: he is surprisingly favoured in the Cobwebs, where dwellings can pile precariously on top of each other. He is also said to appear in vulnerable areas shortly before and after earthquakes, warning and leading searchers to gaps in the rubble of collapsed buildings.
