One of the most well known Saints is Gaham Al-Marduk, founder of the Great House that bears his name. His statue stands tall in the center of the Alchemist's Guild hall, and the offerings he collects from those seeking inspiration are many. The tale is that Gaham, a penniless inventor, was asked by Naros Al-Miir himself to help him create a machine to bring the thirteen tribes of Ivthia together in harmony, for the Empire planned to send troops through the Harrowing Pass and take their lands by force. So Gaham worked many nights on a device that could steal the anger and hate from men's hearts. He gave the device to Naros, who used it to rid the leaders of the tribes of their rivalries, and together they built a mighty tower, the Tower of Miir, to stand guard against those who would dare pollute Ivthia. The Tower stands to this day. And the device? None know where it rests. None but The Shadows.
