Standing at well over six feet in height, Tarik is of average size for a member of his family and clan. His skin is stone gray in color, with areas on his chest and extremities that shift to a pale blue. His eyes are the shade of coal. Tarik keeps his black hair in a top knot, though few see it as the ikulukiah wears a hood almost constantly, a habit learned from innumerable treks beneath an unyielding sun.

Although his appearance is intimidating to those unaccustomed to his kind, Tarik is genuinely curious about the many different people and cultures he has encountered in Miir and, more often than not, is friendly and open to conversing with strangers. Despite his extroverted nature, those that come to know the ikulukiah well sense that he harbors a hidden sorrow, a burden that has drawn him to the great city, one that he hopes to eventually be freed from.
