Jaleh ibnat Ihsan, more often known as Jaleh Dustwolf for her tenacious nature (and the Dustwolf's penchant for sniffing through trash for food, it must be said), is a goods inspector for House Al-Hastur and enforcer of Merchant's Guild standards. This means she inspects weights and measures, seeks out smugglers and "dishonest" merchants (i.e. merchants who try to act independently of House al-Hastur), and occasionally deals with would-be thieves.
