Dybbuks are souls of the dead with unfinished business in the realm of the living that won't let them rest. Unable to find closure, unable to be at peace with the Ba-Kerun, they roam ceaselessly, attaching themselves to the living in order to complete their business -- or else just vent their resentment and frustration on the living.
