Every once and awhile something that lurks deep in Lake Michigan surfaces. When that happens the number of mysterious disappearances near the shoreline skyrockets for a few months before returning back to normal. The council has sent mortal agents to investigate and they either returned empty handed or didn't return at all.

According to very unreliable sources the thing that lurks in the lake is a mass of tentacles surrounding a giant person-sized eye.
