Standing about a meter and a half tall, Xylek is a fairly average shirren. His pale, grey-purple carapace is offset by a pair of bulging, chartreuse eyes and the stark white lab coat he normally wears. Born and raised in Downlow, the Spike neighborhood, he developed an avid interest in not only other cultures, but the technological systems that enabled such a diverse place as Absolam Station to even exist. His parents were both mechanics themselves, living and working in the Spike to help maintain the artificial ecosystem. Xylek displayed promise, even as a larvae, and the family pooled their resources to see he received an education normally beyond the reach of many raised in the Spike.
During his studies, he focused in ecology and climatology, though he never lost the avid curiosity about other cultures, seeing those cultures themselves as natural extensions of the ecosystem from which they evolved. His course of study naturally including xenobiology as well, giving him a basic, but proficient, understanding of medical treatments for the major species of the Pact Worlds. His greatest work so faris Eleven, his AI research assistant drone. Made from scratch, Eleven is mounted on a hover chasis, two delicate arms dangling in from of its egg shaped body.
