The Void Quartet are four mysterious individuals that reside the Nexus of the Void. They have taken the responsibility of watching over the multiverse and to ensure balance in all worlds. They have gone by many names, but are most popularly addressed as Darkness, Night, Evil, and Altair.

Darkness is the de facto leader of the four. He is garbed in black armor that covers most of his person save for the lower half of his face, while a flowing black cape on his back. His eyes are always covered by this armor, and many have wondered for the reason why. He wields a broad sword as a weapon of choice, which is supplemented by a wide variety of otherworldly powers. He is often relaxed and aloof, often seen spending his free time drinking an unusual concoction known as "Black Tea" while reading up on various books in the Nexus libraries.

Night is often seen as a young man in his mid-20s, garbed in a black outfit similar to that worn by samurai during the Meiji Era of various worlds. He carries a katana on his person, but is rarely seen pulling the weapon out of its sheath. He is the most skilled in the use of various traditional weapons, and can be often seen either engaging in various martial arts, or working on some artistry such as calligraphy and cultivation of bonsai. He occasionally gives advise in an indirect manner, leaving others to figure out what he really means.

Evil is the resident gangster among the four, garbed in heavy armor and wielding a halberd. His face is entirely black, leaving it featureless save for his glowing white eyes, while his spiky black hair could probably be classified as a weapon of its own. He is known for the ability to possess other individuals, and can summon any kind of creature he has come across. He is frequently absent from the Nexus, only dropping by occasionally to drop some things off or laze away.

Altair is the genius among the four, and is always seen as a young man in his early teenage years. He can be seen garbed in scholarly robes, with gauntlets on his hands and greaves on his feet. He is always seen carrying around a metal tablet with unusual script carved into it. He is known as an artificer, capable of creating items of incredibly advanced or unusual technology when compared to items from other worlds. He tends to have a carefree attitude, opting to do things now and regret mistakes later.
