PSYCHOLOGICAL PROFILE: Harley Quinn is a delusional psychotic who recreated her persona to that of the clown character Harlequin, after forming an extreme obsession with The Joker.

Once a strong, independant and highly revered psycholgoist, a novice, Harley undertook the harrowing task of counselling The Joker, through which he manipulated and twisted her mind, bending it to his will and beliefs.
Harley assisted The Joker to escape from Arkham Asylum, after first changing her name and costuming herself appropriately to the role she assumed in order to win The Joker's affection. Harley is devoted to The Joker to the point of self-destruction. Her life now centers and revolves around him, believeing he also loves her. She deludes herself into believing The Joker will one day marry her, and that all that is stopping him from doing this is The Batman, who she holds as the source of The Joker's insanity. Her motivation to crime is a desperation to impress The Joker and follow in his footsteps, also an insatiable will to destroy The Batman and so pave the way for his greatest dream to become a reality.

Harley is prone to extremely violent mood swings,alternating with periods of comatose-like trance states, in which she has delusions and dreams of her desired life with The Joker. When upset, Harley responds savagely, her fragile mental condition responding instinctively, where she will fly into frenzies and attempt physical harm, upon herself and others. Although she has not killed anyone, she is potentially homicidal, as she is unaware of the consequences of her actions. She hides her obsessive and demented persona under a mask of playfulness and fun.

Harley could be cured if she prevented herself from bending to The Joker's will. However, her need to be loved by him, prevents her from responding to therapy. Harley needs to regain faith in herself, and stop deluding herself The Joker's insane actions are merely fun and games. She is by nature a kind, sweet and gentle person, but her dementia brings out everything The Joker has implanted into her, so making her a very dangerous resident of Arkham.

Lithium - prevention of delusional trances
Tranquilizers - to calm after entering frenzied state
Strait Jacket - only when extreme violence occurs.
Group Therapy - once a week, female residents only, NO JOKER, overseer - Dr. Joan Leland.
Individual Therapy - Therapist - Dr. Joan Leland.Methods - firstly, turning her head from crime, secondly, breaking the obsession with The Joker, thirdly, training her to be able to reenter society and live an independent life.
Isolation - only when behaviour has been particularly uncontrollable.
Privileges - usual association in the Common Room, two hours every day, preferably NO JOKER.
One hour in gym every day.
One hour in Library every day.
