Physical Description: Adrien was blessed with good looks and knows just how attractive he is, using it to his advantage. He has large ice blue eyes and a strong square face. His hair is black and shaggy, falling down on the sides of his face. His body is well muscled, hinting towards the strength that he has. He typically dresses in a casual fashion, with the color palate falling towards the darker end of the spectrum. Adrien often wears dark tight jeans, and fitted shirts. It's obvious that his clothes are expensive, purchased with the money he inherited after his fathers "mysterious" death and the money that he conned from others. He wears a chunky ring on his right hand that allows him to walk in the sun. The same witch that gave him the tattoo on his chest gave him his ring. They had had a brief fling in the 60s and they stayed close until her death.

Distinguishing Marks: Multiple faint bite marks from when he used to allow himself to be fed on as a human. He also has numerous black and grey tattoos on his body, the most prominent of which are a realistic tattoo on his left side/rib cage of heaven and hell, with angel at the top fighting demons below and an intricate symbol on the right side of his chest that was given to him by a witch who told him that it was for protection.

Powers/Abilities:

• Agelessness - The vampire never ages and will always remain appearing to be the age they were at the time of their death and transition. Upon their transformation, vampires become immune to all conventional illness, diseases, viruses and infections.
  
• Preternatural Enhancements - The strength, speed, and senses are all enhanced far beyond that of a normal human. As a vampire ages they continue to become strong, faster, and more sensitive to their senses. Typically by 50 years of age they reach their full potential in these abilities.
  
• Rapid Healing - Vampires recover tissue from any form of physical damage to their bodies within seconds, though they still feel the pain of a wound before it heals. Vampires can snap their bones back into place after they have been broken and can recover from gunshots and stab wounds. However then cannot grow back any limbs that they have lose.
  
• Mind Compulsion - Vampires have the ability to influence and control thoughts, emotions, and behavior and can alter or erase memories. The older the vampire, the easier this is to perform.
  
• Emotional Control - As a Master Vampire, Adrien has the ability to alter the emotions and feels of those around him, such as altering happiness, sadness, anger, or pleasure.
  
• Adrien has not yet discovered his second Master Vampire ability.

Weaknesses:

• Maya - Apart from the typical vampire weaknesses, Adrien's biggest weakness is the memory of his murdered lover Maya.
  
• UV Sensitivity - All vampires display a weakness to the sunlight, particularly it's UV rays. Younger vampires who are exposed will often burn instantly and if they do not get out of the sunlight as soon as possible they wil burst into flames. Older vampires display more of a sensitivity to UV light and it takes longer for them to burn or combust, however most still avoid it at all costs. Vampires have found many ways to work around this weakness to still allow themselves to be out in daylight. The windows of most establishments run by vampires have special filters that block the UV light and these can also be found in some cars (although its quite expensive to install). Larger cities have built underground walkways for the UV Sensitive citizens that mirror the throughways found above ground. Some vampires also will hire Witches to make talismans that allow them to walk in daylight.
  
• Staking - A wooden stake through the heart is one of the one two guaranteed ways of incapacitating a vampire. It doesn't instantly kill one, but it will render them unconscious and make them appear dead. If the stake isn't removed the vampire will die, however the length of time it takes depends on the age of the vampire.
  
• Decapitation - Cutting the head off of a vampire will instantly kill them, there is no regenerating a missing head. The trick however is getting close enough to do it.
  
• Dead Man's Blood - Under know circumstances should a Vampire drink or be injected with blood that has come from a deceased human or animal. Doing so will make them violently ill and weak.

Daylight Ring: On his right ring finger Adrien often wears a large ornate ring with a giant blood red ruby in the center. There is a faint engraving on the surface of the gemstone that is identical to tattoo that he bears on his chest. Both the tattoo and the ring were given to him by a witch he befriended in New Orleans in the 1960s. He had saved her life and to return the favor, the witch created the ring for Adrien which allows him to walk in the sunlight. The ring is bound by magic to the mark on his chest.

His daywalking ring works by drawing from his life force while he wears in during the day. When fully powered, the stone in its center is a dark rich red, but as it is worn during daytime hours, the color slowly fades from the gem until it is almost clear like a diamond. When it reaches that point it no longer has any power to keep Adrien alive during the day. To recharge the ring Adrien must feed on blood, but will receive no satisfaction from the meal as all of the energy will go directly into the ring. The tattoo does however offer some protection to Adrien if the ring is removed from his had or the stone become completely faded before he is able to find himself safety from the sun. It allows him to remain awake for a short time to find a place to rest and find safety or feed again to recharge the rings power. No other vampire can use his ring as it is bound directly to his blood by the tattoo.

The Personal

Personality Description: Indulgent, manipulative, conflicted. As a human, Adrien was extremely indulgent, and as a vampire that became magnified. He also has a manipulative side that he uses to get whatever he wants. He still has these aspects to his personality, but currently they are pushed away, trying to be held down by the memory of Maya. She had made Adrien more... "human" ... more of a good guy. After meeting her he stopped using his looks to get what he wanted from everyone and tried to stray from the indulgent atmosphere of the parties he once loved. Currently he is torn between being the man that Maya helped him become and the one he used to be.

Occupation: Nightclub Owner

History: In 1923 Laurent and Adelaide Bouchard immigrated to New Orleans, Louisiana from France, escaping the aftermath of World War I with their young daughter Charlotte. Adelaide was pregnant at the time and soon after gave birth to her only son, Adrien. From birth, one of the first things that everyone noticed about him was his bright eyes. When Adrien was 5, his mother gave birth to his younger sister, Victoire. The Bouchards were very well off and growing up Adrien and his siblings were given all the comforts that could be bought. Even during the Great Depression and World War II the Bouchards still lived a life of luxury. A spoiled childhood only helped to feel his indulgent personality. He was able to spend his days and nights soaking in every aspect of the New Orleans night life.

In the mid 1940's he met a group of vampires during a Mardi Gras celebration and he was immediately fascinated. They could do what they wanted, when they wanted, and he dreamed to be a part of that. He started spending all of his time with them, much to his mother's shame.  For years he begged them to turn him, he acted a there servant, doing everything they asked hoping that one day he could join them. Finally, one night in 1948 when Adrien was stumbling home in a drunken stupor his wish finally came through, just not how he wanted it to. He became a vampire, but his sire and the rest of his group abandoned him before his transition was even complete. He was left alone, as a freshly turned vampire and his blood lust was strong, as strong as he had craved bourbon while he was alive.

He wasn't sure how to handle this new feeling, the craving. Without knowing how he had gotten there, Adrien found himself at his father's home. Both of his sisters had been married off, and his mother had died of Influenza in 1943. His father was alone and depressed after the death of his wife Adelaide, and had become paranoid and violent in his older age, to the point where he would find any reason to abuse Adrien or blame him for his mother's death. His subconscious remembered this, remembered his hate for his father and his blood lust drove him blindly to his house. In his blind rage, Adrien ended up killing Laurent and drained him of blood. His first kill. His first taste of blood. He was hooked.

For the next 6 decades Adrien did what ever he wanted, and at times he was careless with his feeding, however he only had a few more occasions where he completely lost control. He discovered groups who would pay to be fed on and he took full advantage, indulging in all of the sex and blood that he could.  He had his girls. He was their King and he got whatever he wanted.

But in 2013, things changed. He met Maya and his life completely unfolded. She came to a club that he was at one night and immediately Adrien couldn't take his eyes off of the petite redhead. He walked away from the girl he was currently feeding on headed towards her. He needed to know who she was. The talked and from that point on Adrien's life was changed. She met daily and Maya worked with Adrien to bring out the good that was left in him. Eventually they fell in love. Adrien knew that Maya was his soulmate, he wanted to be by her side for life. Two years down the road, Maya was the only one from whom Adrien would feed from, they were bonded. However she was aging while Adrien hadn't changed a day in the last 65 years. It was then they thy decided that Maya would join Adrien in immortality. She was turned and they were bonded in blood.

The next year was the happiest time that Adrien could remember, but sadly a year was all he got. The love of his immortal life was taken from him too soon. She was killed by a group of vampire hunters and he was left alone. The struggle soon followed when Adrien had to fight to stay the man that Maya had made him, or return to his old manipulative indulgent ways. He stayed in New Orleans for another year following Maya's death but the pain was too strong so he had to leave the city.

For a while Adrien didn't have a place to call home but in 2018 he found himself in Elysium and decided that he was finally ready to stop his life on the road and settle back down. Soon after moving here, Adrien opened up a nightclub called The Gate which has become quite successful in the last two years and although it is open to all, it tailors more towards a preternatural clientele.
