Tatum Dunne

The Basics

Name: Tatum Dunne

Nickname: Tate, but most just call her Tatum

Age: 25

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Heterosexual and happily married

Character Description

Hair: Red

Eyes: Blueish-Green

General Appearance: Tatum is a tall thin girl standing at 5' 8" and weighing in at 120 pounds. Her model-like figure is very well-proportioned but her long legs always seem to draw attention to her as well as her naturally red hair that reaches her upper back. She has modest curves, but not to the point that they seem to look unnatural for her body type.

Her skin is pale and covered in freckles which makes her burn very easily when out in the sun instead getting a nice golden tan. Her facial features are soft and expressive, betraying her friendliness and her inquisitive curiosity about everything that is new to her.

Tatum has two different styles and appearances depending on where she is when you catch her. At home when she is working on her art she is typically barefaced or with the remnants of yesterday's makeup, with her long red haired piled up on top of her head in a messy bun and wearing comfortable clothes that she doesn't mind getting messy, usually yoga pants or shorts and a tank top.

When she goes out in public though she looks like a totally different person. She typically will put great care into her appearance, wearing stylish and trendy clothes that tend to be on the more feminine side of things and rarely leaves without her hair looking nice or makeup on her face, unless of course you catch her running to get coffee in the morning. Her makeup however is usually every subtle, typically in more natural or neutral colors with her lipstick being the only brightly colored statement (often a bold red).

Distinguishing Marks: Tatum's cheeks are almost always rosy pink and she has many freckles adorning her pale skin.

Personality: Throughout her life, Tatum has always tried to stay optimist about things even then times are looking grim. She'll search for the one good thing (which she believes is always there) and holds onto that for hope to make it through and come out better on the other side. Her positive nature allows her to make friends quickly people generally like spending time around her.

She quite friendly too all, but describes herself as neither introverted or extroverted, she just herself and doesn't feel like putting a label on it. Some night she prefers to go out while others she prefers to just stay home and watch movies with husband and drink beer by the fire.

Often she's happy to be the hostess of the group and often took on that motherly role for all her friends while they were busy getting wasted in college. Thats not to say that she doesn't enjoy partaking in an alcoholic beverage or 4 too sometimes, she just also done't mind if she ends up being the one to make sure that everyone got home safe.

If given the choice, Tatum would rather spend her free time outdoors rather than indoors and often can be found sitting under a tree with her sketchbook. She finds happiness in the sounds of birds singing, water bubbling in a stream, and the wind blowing through the leaves.

Her favorite things in life are IPAs, a good book, and a nice breeze in her hair. Tatum has been a vegan her entire life but never looks down on anyone who chooses to eat meat, its just the way that she was raised. At times she pretty much the poster child for hipsters, but has never taken on an attitude of thinking that she better than anyone else.

Character History

Hometown: Denver, Colorado

Employment: New to town and still unemployed. However she previously worked as barista through college. After graduating college she still continued to work at that same coffee shop but also began selling her artwork. Tatum's dream is to one day be able to rely on her art as the sole source of her income and work from home so that she can have a family.

About Your character: Tatum was the only daughter in a family that had 4 sons but didn't mind that at all, she actually loved growing up with brothers and thanks them for turning out the way that she did today. She was the third born child and loved having two older brothers to look out for her and the little brother for her to take care of.

Her family was relatively well-off but didn't take pride in the amount of physical things that their money could buy. Instead they spent it on experiences for their children and before the age of 18 Tatum had been to almost every state in the continental US and visited the national parks everywhere she went. The family often took long road trips where they would travel around an entire state, seeing everything that it had to offer. This was made possible by home-schooling the children and is an experience that Tatum wouldn't trade for anything.

Everywhere they went she found inspiration for the wonders of nature around them and eventually found her way to express her love for the world around her in art. From that point on she always had her sketchbook on her, drawing and painting all the views of the world around her. Most of her early artworks were all of landscapes and nature, but eventually she branched out and started experimenting with different mediums and styles.

At 19 years old, Tatum applied to and was accepted at University of Colorado in Boulder and pursued and double major in Fine Arts and American Literature. Even though it was her first time being at a school with people other than her brothers, she seamlessly fell into the pattern and no one would have ever guessed that she had always been homeschooled.

She did well and school and eventually at 20 got a job at one of the local cafes that served both coffee and craft beers. It was here that she one day met Sean, the man that would eventually be her husband. He came in one day while she was working and they clicked right away. After a few weeks of him coming in to see here he finally asked for her number and they started going on dates.

They dated for the next 3 years and when Tatum was 24 they got engaged, only to be married a couple months laters. As much as she loved Colorado, the decided to move back to Sean's home town, Stillwater, and recently bought a house with a studio so that she can work from home. Currently they've been married for just about a year and are excited to see where this new life together leads them.
