Gyda has long blond hair and blue eyes. Her skin is pale although she does have some scars. She also has a few tattoos. Gyda is neither small nor overly tall but she is powerful.  Gyda fuels her passion to continue to fight leading her warriors with force.  Her courage and skill has gained the recognition and respect of many a chieftain, Jarl, and King.

She has a scar on her right forearm, a few on her back, and one across the bridge of her nose. On her back she has a tattoo telling the tale of her father.  Gyda has some tattoos on her arms as well, she wears her hair long but always tied back.


Personality:

Gyda enjoys some of the more simple pleasures of life sometimes. One being music. She loves to listen and play. Her mother taught her the flute at an early age and she has never given it up.

She despises those who disrespect the Gods. Knowing that the world is filled with heathens, ready to expel whatever pagans they come across, when she was younger and living in the land of the Angels she use to go on the attack. However, she learned to control herself, she learned her emotions were better used on the battlefield —nowadays it takes a lot to really upset her over one's lack of godliness.  When others show evidence of weak spirit or courage; overly submissive or compliant; she seems to take offense for Gyda feels the world is not made for the weak of heart. You must prove yourself every day. This is how she was raised and what she believes. When those around her cower or run from adversity she cannot help but lower her opinion of the individual. This is not to say she expects everyone to pick up a sword and fight. Just that one must be strong in their own conviction and stand true to them.

Gyda is no ordinary young woman. From the time she was young, she was trained in the skills of a warrior and learned to wield sword and shield as good as any man. On her journey to clear her father name, she uses her skills and gains respect and loyalty of the people she encounters along the way.


Biography:

Born in Norway but raised on her father's lands in the land of Angles which was given to him by the King and Jarl Grimnir.

Gyda, was caught in turmoil early in her life when her father is named an outlaw and killed, her home on the border of Angels is destroyed, and her family had to flee. Her only hope had been to present herself to the King of Norway, she married his nephew and with his blessing went back to Norway to see if she could get the judgement reversed.

After months of petitioning the King he relented after she served him in a battle securing his southern lands from the Danes.  She led her men with bravery and honor.  Having won the battle and brought the sword of the Dane leader to the King, he restored her family’s honor.  Sadly her husband Ulf was killed in this battle and so now she returns home with her son and daughter.

Now she is headed back to the land of the Angles as Gyda is part of the warriors coming for the great invasion upon them.  With Jarl Erland she will claim her fathers lands, rebuild her home, and take her place in supporting the Nordic way of life.
