1. Faye is a natural red head

Background: Faye Powlowski (maiden name) grew up on her families cattle ranch in Montana. At an early age she learned to ride a horse, how to raise cattle, and spent quite a bit of time out doors camping and hunting. In high school she was on the track team, and threw the javelin. She wasn't good enough to get a scholarship but attended the University of Montana's veterinarian program. Upon graduation in 2005 she spent three years as a livestock veterinarian. She also got married to the another veterinarian and opened up their own practice together. In 2007 Faye filed for divorce after walking in on her husband with another woman. Unfortunately during the divorce proceedings her husband made accusations of her own infidelity (all untrue). This made a big mess of the whole thing. With the divorce finalized in 2008 and her own family not believing her, Faye decided to get away from Montana.

Thus Faye joined the U.S. Navy correctly believing that it would keep her far and away from Montana. With a university degree she was able to apply for a commission and attended Officer Candidate School. With the U.S. Navy only having a few Destroid anti-air/ship defense squadrons Faye didn't think she would get accepted, but somehow fit the criteria to pilot a Destroid.  Upon completion of OCS, Faye attended basic instrumentation course then went on to Destroid pilot training, emphasizing on the ADA-03 Cheyenne.

After completing Destroid training Faye was assigned to the UES Prometheus in December of 2008. During the initial Battle of Macross Island Faye was onboard the UES Prometheus operating her ADA-03 Cheyenne from one of the third deck firing ports. She managed to shoot down two of the alien Tri-Thruster aerospace craft as they strafed the deck of the UES Prometheus, and took out four of the headless ostrich mecha as they rose from the water to fire at her. The number of attacking alien mecha was too great to prevent the flight deck of the UES Prometheus from being boarded. But while the flight deck was held by the aliens they were unable to gain access to the interior of the ship.

The flight deck was only cleared off of alien mecha with the help of a group of veritechs. When the UES Macross made it's fateful space fold Faye was lucky in that her ADA-03 Cheyenne still had its hull integrity. Thus she survived to find out that half the pilot in her squadron were killed.

During the Battle of Pluto, Faye was on the deck of the UES Prometheus providing anti-missile/mecha defense. After the battle only four mecha, and three pilots from the squadron remained, and was then folded into a U.S. Army Destroid unit, Mike Battery 4th Defense Battalion. As the second senior Destroid Officer, Faye was made the battery Executive Officer.
