    Lean and fairly tall, Elia is a graceful and agile young woman, even before one considers the benefits of junctioning her Guardian Force. She has a fairly striking form, especially given her typical taste in attire, favoring fashion inspired by more modern Estharian designs, influenced by other world styles after the technological superpower's return to the world stage. Eria has no real qualms with dressing in a light, almost showy manner sometimes, though she does prefer to mix up her styles for form or fashion as suits her, though typically all of her attire shares a flexible, mobile design that allows for free movement.

    Her weapons of choice, a pair of collapsed combat fans, typically cross behind her waist when they aren't in use, collapsed into their closed position. Even her SeeD Uniform, however, features a bit of personal decoration, perhaps somewhat typical of Trabia's slightly more permissive, artistic culture among the Garden academies.
Personality
    Unlike a lot of students who attend Gardens, Eria didn't pursue the career path looking for a life of adventure or because she had lofty, brave ideals she wanted to uphold. That doesn't mean she doesn't want for such things, but she wasn't driven into SeeD in intentional pursuit of it. Instead, Eria joined SeeD because she was chosen by a Guardian Force, and felt a responsibility to use that ability to benefit others. That said, being a professional mercenary isn't the end goal of her life, and she very much thinks with her heart as well as her head as to the nature of what work she's willing to do and how.

    Eria tends to have a different perspective than a lot of SeeD Candidates - where most are eager to engage in battle, Eria prefers to solve a problem without fighting when possible, through diplomacy or even subterfuge, and even when she must fight, she prefers to incapacitate opponents to killing them. Her talent for social skills - and some of the abilities granted by her Guardian Force - are fairly beneficial to the style of conflict resolution she prefers to employ.

    Eria's typical demeanor is something of a mask - she appears more superficial at first glance than she truly is, has a fairly relaxed and playful demeanor when matters aren't dire, and even has a bit of a charming, flirty streak to her. She sometimes plays herself off as less intelligent than she really is, too, specifically to throw off others as to her true cleverness. She can, though, sometimes become overwhelmed by situations where she lacks enough information to come up with some sort of plan, though her plans tend to be good one, when she has the information she requires.
Background
    Originally from Esthar, Eria was raised unarguably the world's most advanced nation, with a remarkable understanding of science, technology, and even magic, even though she was not a dedicated student of such things in her younger years.  During her youth, she actually visited family in Timber, and had an encounter in the forests around the bustling city with a Guardian Force - a mysterious and unique Chocobo of remarkable beauty, which sensed a kindred nature in her.

    The young Eria bonded with the Guardian Force, and thereafter, proved able to summon it, accumulate magic, and do a number of things that made life complicated and a bit difficult for her. Determined to learn to handle her new abilities, and also to put them to a good use, Eria enrolled at Trabia Garden instead of pursuing higher study in Esthar. At Trabia, she received training to utilize her Guardian Force, and her own personal talents, both to fight and to promote more peaceful resolutions to conflicts.

    Eria also made a bit of a name for herself with side-pursuits, running a fashion-design club at the Garden, and she proved to be a remarkably popular student, and one who generally had positive interactions with most everyone - she made something of a point to be the one to extend a hand of friendship to new or struggling students in her Garden, and she was also the sort to confront a bully and call them out on their misbehavior. This got her into a bit of trouble, but, on the whole, Eria has been a model student - not the strongest or the smartest, but definitely one of the most personable.

    She's transferred to Balamb fairly recently as she's near the point where she can take the Examination for full graduation, and she is eagerly awaiting the opportunity, though she's still adapting to the new environment of Balamb, which is a bit more strict than the Trabia Garden she's used to.
Equipment & Abilities

    Weapon: Paired War-Fans: Eria's dual fan weapons are fairly accurate and deal light damage, and can even be thrown to deal ranged damage, flitting back to her thanks to a minor ability of her Guardian Force. Her Guardian Force allows her to junction Status Magic to her fans, and Aero magic to her elemental attack, and thus she can use them to disorient and impair foes with special attacks, dispersing clouds of status-causing mist, and coatings on the bladed fans.

    Magic: Eria is versed in Drawing and utilizing magic, and generally maintains a stock of status magic for junctioning to her attacks. She also tends to carry supportive and enhancing magic for her own or her allies' benefit. She's versed with healing magic and rare Air Attack magic as well, a virtue of her Guardian Force's benefits.

    Special Ability/Limit - Dance: Eria's energetic, charismatic talents plus the magic of her Guardian Force permit her to use magical dances that produce a variety of effects, some beneficial to friends and allies, while others can be disorienting or harmful to enemies or rivals. Other dances simply enhance her personal abilities.

    This strange and mythical chocobo is something of a grandstander, a gorgeously beautiful bird that has plumage resembling that of a peacock in terms of coloration and extravagance. She also possesses a single slender, elegant spiral horn rising from her forehead. It's also beautifully built and impressive as a chocobo specimen when it is summoned to take physical form, with near-matchless endurance and the ability to sprint across shallows with ease. Light filters through the plumage of her tail and wings casting scintillating, dazzling displays. Mirage has a love of attention, and is definitely more honest about it than her partner.
Abilities Summary
    Field Ability: Chocobo Jockey: Eria can summon Mirage to serve as a mount, and while doing so, Mirage can find and charm other Chocobos to provide mounts for the rest of her team. While Mirage is leading a team of chocobos, they all share Mirage's ability to cross shallow water and all but the steepest of mountain cliffs. Mirage is also virtually tireless and has a top speed that exceeds the finest of purebreed racing chocobos, being consistently competitive with cars, and even being able to match modestly advanced trains at a full-on sprint. She also has an actually pleasant perfume to her feathers, compared to your average chocobo stable.

    Field Ability: Nature Whisperer: Eria's bond with Mirage gives her a knack for understanding sentient, animal-like creatures. She can communicate with Moombas, Moogles, and similar creatures, understanding their utterances without any real effort at all, with an empathic sort of understanding. This also gives her a knack for handling non-sentient, non-monster, animal creatures.
