Human Distinguishing Marks: Jinx has a tattoo of a black cat on her shoulder- probably not the best choice given she's canine, but she was drunk at the time.  Everyone does stupid stuff when they're drunk.

Jinx also has several scars.  They're not from the gray plague but they look like it.  In truth they're from being in the foster system- she doesn't go into why or how they happened.  Now they've become her bread and butter.

Human Description of General Appearance:



Jinx has two distinct sides to herself.  The first is a raggedy, scruffy girl who gives the impression she's up to something.  It's not really the case, but when she's not trying- Jinx has a tendency to give the wrong impression.  Perhaps it's because she's always curled in the shadows or a corner.  She tends to keep her back to the wall and keep her eyes moving.  In general the girl always gives the impression that she's about to break and run.  When she's in this mood, Jinx usually wears clothing that is comfortable and easy to move in.  Jeans or a T-shirt with a flannel over top suits her just fine.

The other side of Jinx- the one she recognizes as Jenny is far more discerning in her appearance.  She can be made up to look quite classy when she wants to.  Jenny tends to use this persona around Humans when she's gathering information from the higher ups.  Jenny can take on the persona of a well to do, nicely dressed woman.  It's not comfortable, but it's effective.

Jinx's wolf form isn't very big.  She isn't an Alpha by a long shot. She's small and on the skinny side.  Most people would think of her as possibly having a disease to see her, because her coarse hair never does seem to lie completely flat.

Personality:
Jinx is smart.  She might be an Omega, she might be a product of the Foster System, but she's street smart beyond that of a normal person.  Jinx can read a room and instantly tell you what is going on.  She is a quick thinker and knows when to get out.

Jinx has a quick and sarcastic sense of humor.  She knows that everyone underestimates her, thus she uses that to her advantage.  She uses everything to her advantage.  It's the only way to survive in this world.

Background/History:


Jinx was born in Dripping Springs, Texas.  Whatever happened to her mother and father she really doesn't remember.  She was put in the Foster System when she was an infant.  Things were okay until she turned 13 and found out she was a Shifter.  Things got worse when the plague hit.  It was hard enough living on the street, suddenly she had to watch her back extra carefully.

At first Jinx tried to fit in with some of the packs that began forming in the cities.  Being the weakest in the pack put her at the lowest level and was basically starving her.  For a while she moved from pack to pack.  Eventually she learned to scout.

Jinx heard about Three Valleys when a group of wolves were talking about it at a bar.  Jinx began moving in that direction.  When she finally got to Three Valley it didn't take long for people to look at her as trouble.  It was Longclaw who gave her a chance.  Because of that she's fiercely loyal and works as a scout for the territory.  She takes the dangerous jobs on purpose.  It's her way of giving back and proving that she can do something to earn her keep.

Proposed way that the ability works for your Shifter:  Jinx's ability to manipulate emotions is something she's worked hard to control, but it does have a tell.  She develops a jumpy leg- sewing machine leg when she uses it, or her hand will twitch patting her leg.  It has to be a constant beat in order for her to maintain focus otherwise it can go all awry.

Proposed price that your character has to pay for that ability:
Insomnia- When Jinx uses her ability it revs up her system.  She'll stay awake for days when she's over taxed herself, causing all sorts of issues everything from headaches to making poor decisions to nausea and eventually narcolepsy where she can suddenly fall asleep anywhere.
