Tanu is a tall tanned human is a hodgepodge of leather armor.  He is definitely from some island(s), but he never seems to say exactly.  His dark black hair is in a pony tail down his back.  The tattoos of turtles, dolphins, sharks and hawks play among the tribal lines that cover his back and arms.
