Gustav is a second generation immigrant, an American citizen of German decent, Bald, black eyes, strong built. 6'5 245lbs has a small limp from war injuries, has a good muscle between his ears as well. He fought for his adopted country during the Great War but was mistrusted by his fellow soldiers because of his heritage, this did not deter him from his duty and he got promoted as a corporal by the end of the War. He faced discrimination immediately before and during the war. He became a police officer and a detective after the war and settled in Yorkville, Upper East Side in NYC. He is 35 years old, divorced with no kids.
He is currently experiencing trauma from his time during the war, he would sometimes wake up from nightmares from his time in the trenches. Having alcohol helps somewhat. Poured all his time and attention on his work to distract him from the ghost of his past. In time, his focus and stubbornness earned him a good reputation as a detective in his area in New York.
Took a month-long, well deserved extended vacation from work and what better way to spend your vacation but by going to an exotic place called Peru.
