Gather around all of you who would listen!


I have a tale to tell,
 A story of warriors and kings,
 A saga of dark magic,
 A legend of my adventure.

Long ago--during the First Age,
 a series of dark spells where created.
 One of these spells had the power to bridge our world
 and the one of darkness.

An evil spell,
 with no purpose but that of destruction,
 but before it could be evoked--stolen!
 And broken into 6 separate parts,
  six lines--six enchantations.

The spell however was dark and powerful,
 and not easily destroyed
 So instead it was hidden away in a place where none would find it
 Shattered about the world in six seperate locations.
 Six different families entrusted to its safe keeping.

But men are foolish.
And time can be the enemy of fear.


All to soon they forget how the bee stings,
 and how the fire will burn.


As time passed.. .
 The families forgot what the marks were for.
 Mankind dismissed the ancient warnings about these words of power as merely stories!
 Tales from a long past time.


But the Blackrazor tribe knew nothing of time.
 With infinite we patience we waited,
 Then after three centuries
 The spells were rediscovered. . . .

The Eye of Gruumsh burned brightly as Ghorza held it aloft. She could feel it calling to the fire within her blood--whispering its secret words of war, beckoning her to blood and battle.

With an effort of will Ghorza covered the symbol with her gauntlet.

She commanded the fire in her blood to cool. She admired the cool blood of her human friends. Blood which allowed for reason, for peace--this would never be for a Daughter of Gruumsh.

Ghorza allowed herself a moment after she had regained control over her blood. She took a drink. The years away from the heat of battle had made her brittle--but she had been taught about the intelligence which is cultivated by the weak. She had broken the back of the undead legions and those tales were known by every child of three winters but learning to use words over weapons. Learning of her strength of mind.

This was the gift she would cherish most from her adventuring friends.

It was that strength which allowed her to finish her tell.

"I would see all the marks collected. The magic of my mark calls to all others of weaker power. It is said that I will become a gateway for the Burning God when all marks have been collected, but--I don't think that is it. Old "One Eye" is more clever than most would expect. Whatever my fate, I would collect these marks so that I alone would bare their weight.

No one else should have to live under this burden.

And, after that--hahah; peace for my people would be nice but we both know that isn't quite the cards that my kind have been dealt.

Class:      12th Level Cleric of War (Gruumsh)
Alignment:  Chaotic-Neutral
Race:       Half-Orc
Background: Hermit - Ghorza was born with the mark of Gruumsh a fictional mark which calls to other marks which exists and strengths her connection to her god. Although the Half Orc is a Cleric of the God of War she would prefer to be a healer or diplomat. Her insight into conflict and war allows her to understand how senseless it all is. To Ghorza peace and diplomacy is the much harder and therefore more noble endeavor.

Although she does carry any ill will against Gruumsh, she doesn't trust others with the power she has been "cursed" with. She hopes that she can channel the Gruumsh's divine wrath and use it to carve out a life for her other half-orcs.
