Something of an odd duck, both in personality and powers, Deke can 'occasionally' act as an off the wall, screw loose or just a plain nut job.  It's just an act, mostly, kind of, sort of.  Still, he keeps it in check as much as he can.  At his core however, he's a soldier.  He's not a perfect soldier by any means, and in fact has been on probation numerous times for his 'out of the box' behaviors, but he believes in his team and the mission.

Origin Earth:
From a world where magic, people with powers, and all manner chaos happens on a regular basis, there are nevertheless no 'superheroes'.  During the cold war, the UN, after a surprise move of unveiling elite metahumans that disarmed the world's nuclear arsenal, deployed the Warriors and stepped up their worldwise peace efforts.  The Warriors are the UN dispatched peacekeeping forces meant to keep a lid on the utter chaos that could upset the world and cause massive disasters.
