Heinrich, sometimes know as "The Cyclops", "One-Eye", or "Magebane", is a beast of a man. For his size, it is easy to mistake him for for half-orc, for his size and stature is above that of your typical human.

His nicknames of "The Cyclops" and "One-Eye" came about from his years being a gladiator, travelling from city to city, entertaining those interested in feats of martial skill, man against man, but also man against beast. But it doesn't explain the nickname, until you see Heinrich, and notice that his left eye is missing, replaced by an eye patch. He never explains what happened to it, which has lead to various tales being made about it being lost in a fight, though no-one seems to know which.
The years of fighting has also lead to his body covered in scars, especially his torso. As when he fights in the arena, whilst he may wear a helmet, vambraces and greaves, he never wears any armour on his torso. Instead he decorates it with a variety of hand-painted symbols, which he says give him protection. To him, they must be working, as he isn't dead yet. The scars remind him of the fights he has fought, and how he is still here, fighting.

His nickname of "Magebane" came about from when he was an adventurer with the Draconic Brotherhood, where for unknown reasons, magic is difficult to use on Heinrich. As such, whenever a rogue wizard or necromancer needs defeating, they quickly discover that their usual tricks have little to no effect on Heinrich, as he charges towards them.

During the Crusade, Heinrich has put being a gladiator on hold, instead lending his skills and unique abilities to the Great Church, hoping that Blackfire can be defeated once and for all.
