Hanryu is a tall, burly Northlander with golden skin and white hair that turns red as he gets angry, slanted dark green eyes with slit pupils, sharp teeth, and 2" finger and foot bone claws.
His father (with whom he gets along and who approved of his marriage to Marlena) is the Imperial Court Sorcerer of the Emperor of the Northlands.
Hanryu is austere (except when alone with Marlena), intimidating, non-materialistic (except for some magic items), protective of Marlena, and speaks Andamaran without using pronouns. Due to his innately high status, he tries to not take himself too seriously. During his travels, he tries to figure out these "crazy southern barbarians" (kyouki no minami no shobanjin, non-Northlanders). 6' 2", 345 lbs., 136 years old, January 17.
