Ponder is a man in his late twenties, trim and athletic looking. He has dark brown hair now showing the first hints of distinguishing gray and a short, well-kept beard. His eyes are a deep blue, those eyes can be quite cold, but usually seem amused by life and the weird way things happen. He has a ready smile and likes his wine. He stands a couple of inches shy of six feet and has a wiry build. Ponder is quite charming when he cares to be and seems more concerned about local gossip than investigating mighty works of magic or musty libraries. "Chaos, chance, luck and life are one," Ponder is fond of saying. He might even mean it on occasion.

He usually wears dark brown clothing, but likes to sport some color in his dress such as a jewel or neckerchief. Lately, Ponder has taken to carrying a staff and dressing in a dark green forest cloak much like the Tree Leapers. He has less spring in his step these days, seemingly carrying the weight of many losses. He still finds time to carouse and give some young local wife an illicit thrill though he seems more thoughtful these days than before.
