Turin comes from a family of woodsmen living in the eastern parts of the High Forest in the area of the Tall Trees. Closely allied to the druids of Silvanus, Turin is trained in nature's lore. He does however have a calling of his own. From an early age he has dreamed of the desert wastes of Aunaroch, compelling him to learn more of the desert and the wastes surrounding it. As he grew older, these dreams have taken a more definite shape, showing him a lost city of a king, where unnamed horrors shuffle about for eternity, guarding the treasures of the dead king.
Turin is not built for the life of a forest ranger, and was lucky to have an understanding family who sent him off to serve and learn from a retired warmage living at the edge of the forest. Being a diligent student, and showing great potential for the craft, Turin soon proved himself good enough to pass his coming of age rituals.
Released from the duties of his family and alliance with the druids, Turin immediately ventured east towards the desert. His first encounter with the great waste was a turning point in his life as he nearly died from heat and dehydration, but was rescued by a caravan. Turin recovered quickly and proved his worth by fending off an attack by hobgoblins almost single-handedly.
During his travels he has come upon two great treasures: one is a stone from that lost city in the sands of his dreams. He has meditated on it and established a spiritual connection knowing to find his way, once he's ready.
The other is a piece of amber, with a scorpion trapped inside. This was a reward for service to nomad clan.
