DESCRIPTION: Terri is an attractive young woman of Scandinavian descent.  She has very fair skin with a round friendly face and large blue/green eyes and a wide friendly smile.  Her hair is a shiny cobalt blue, this is its natural color and it will not take a dye.  She has made it her trademark.  While she wouldn’t be described as statuesque or stacked there is no doubt that she is female.  She is in remarkably good shape from bike riding.  She often wears a pair of glasses with zero prescription lenses since she has found that people for some reason are more forthcoming that way when she interviews them.  When working or in class she most often wears a skirt and blouse but when she is being casual she really likes her holey jeans and t-shirts.

PERSONALITY DESCRIPTION: Terri is a very sincere woman with a high regard for the truth.  Unfortunately for others and often for herself this is for the real truth and not for the convenient, expedient or even politically correct truth.  This has lead on more than one occasion to her ending up at cross purposes with other people.  As a Journalist she believes it is her responsibility to report facts in as unbiased form as she can, it is not her place to slant or flavor a report but to just give all of the relevant information that is available.  She is open and friendly and may often come across as naïve and wide eyed but she anything but.

MUTANT ABILITIES
Terri has the ability to animate inanimate materials and have them move as if they are alive.  While being animated an object can twist, flex, and bend with no damage to itself even if there are no joints or seams for such actions and when she stops animating them they will return to their normal shape with no damage.

Terri also has a limited ability to reshape an object she is animating to better suit her needs.  When she does this the item will retain its new shape when she ceases to animate it unless she restores it to its original configuration first.  This ability could increase with training and as her power matures.

Terri can also cause an object she is animating to levitate and fly even if it does not have wings or any other mode of flight.

While animating an object Terri can experience all that happens around the object as if she was physically there.

Terri is learning how to jump from one animated object to another without first returning to her body

POWER LIMITATIONS
In order to animate an object Terri must first project her consciousness into the object she wishes to animate.  Currently such an act leaves her physical body in a deep trance, almost coma like state until she returns.  While she is separated from her body she has no real awareness of it or what might be happening to it.  At her current level of ability she can only animate one object at a time and then for only about an hour before fatigue forces her back to her body.  The size of the object being animated and the level of activity it engages in also plays a factor in how quickly she tires.  The largest object that she has animated to date was a bronze statue of George Washington and his horse that weighed approximately 5000 pounds.  She was able to animate it for 10 minutes.  Levitating even much smaller objects than this is very fatiguing.

While it is possible for Terri to animate an electronic device such as a computer or a cell phone this does not give her any more understanding of how it operates than she would normally have and she can only use them in the normal way (she CAN NOT mentally access the internet or a computer’s memory, she would have to use the mouse and keyboard and ‘read’ the information off the screen.)

If an object is destroyed while Terri is animating it the psychic shock of the event will force her back to her body and leave her weak and confused if not unconscious.

PERSONAL EQUIPMENT: Terri almost always carries a top of the line digital camera that has both optical and digital zoom capabilities along with still and video options.  She will also have smaller less cumbersome camera she can easily carry in a pocket.  She also has a Digital voice recorder with both internal and external Mic abilities and a compact but powerful parabolic mic that can be folded for easy carrying.  Given the reaction some people have to reporters and journalists she has also cheated so that all recorded information is automatically backed up by Bluetooth to an external storage device.  While her equipment is not of the same standard as SHIELD might have it is still some of the best available on the commercial market.  She also owns a good quality mountain bike and recently inherited a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda from an old friend.  A deep metallic midnight blue it has been described as a hardon looking for a place to happen.  It gets crappy gas millage, uses a lot of tires and can attract police for four counties but she will never get rid of it.

CHARACTER BACKGROUND: There was nothing really exceptional about Terri’s childhood and growing up.  She got along with her family fine, aside from the few regular squabbles that always seem to occur.

It was during her sophomore year of high school that her hair began to turn blue, after several disastrous dye attempts Terri accepted the color and after a change in style really started to rock it.  It was also during that year that she met an older man named Ned.  He was cranky, crotchety and rude but she kept going back to visit with him.  Eventually he opened up and started to talk in return, as he put it, just to get her to shut up.  He had been a journalist, a war correspondent, and an investigative reporter and his stories of what he had seen and what he had done captivated her.

It was at that time she decided to become a journalist.
