When born he was abandoned by his human parent to perish.  He was rescued by a hermit that survived alone in the wilderness.  The man was likely a Ranger, and though Grung (as he was named by his father) was unable to follow his fathers way completely, he did learn to fight.

He would not be trying his luck with the mines if it weren't for his fathers recent demise.  He is wary of anyone as he is universally disliked.  His social skills are poor and he is defensive around others by default.  Despite this, he is intelligent, insightful, and kind to those that take the time to befriend him. Though so far only his father has done so.

He wears plate mail and carries a shield and long sword.  He uses his cloak to hide his face as much as possible.  He is thickly limbed and quite strong.
