The young man before you is armored piecemeal in the customary style.

Though he has a short sword in a scabbard his most obvious weapons are a long Bokken curved into a katana shape, and a heavy metal pipe.  He is trying to teach himself to play the flute as he wanders along.

Behind him a horse with a saddle walks along carrying only the gear; a short bow, arrows and lasso obvious on the saddle.

The man’s sandals are quite compared to the horses hooves clomping along behind him

He seems to be trying to include that percussion in his clumsy flute skills
