It's not the pristine white robes or the ancient tome attached by a thick golden chain to the waist of Magister Weiß that strikes most people.  It's not the lacquered wooden sticks engraved with foreign symbols that hold her platinum hair up in a knot at the back of her head.  It's certainly not her unobtrusive 5'3" height.  It's her eyes.  Piercing and sky-blue, they seem to reach out from below a forehead creased with age and worry to peel back layers of deceit
