Metamorphic Adaptation: After her enhancement Mystique showed the ability to adapt her body depending on her situation at the time. She was able to camouflage her body according to her surroundings, shift her organs into her lower extremities, and mimic the textures of metals (when she took on the form of Magneto and his helmet). She also clearly stated that she was always naked and simply made her skin look and feel like other materials to fool others.[

Enhanced Physical Attributes: Able to enhance her strength, speed, agility, reflexes, and senses.

Accelerated Healing: Mystique's nature allows her to repair wounds and regenerate herself from minor to near death injuries in a short span of time, much faster than an ordinary human.

Retarded Aging: Her metamorphic powers have retarded the degenerative effects of aging. She has always had this ability even before her enhancement; she is either close to or over one hundred years old.

Psychic Defence: Mystique's nature also provides her with a natural defense against telepathic intrusion.

Weakness: Identity confusion can occur if disguised for too long.

Character History: Mystique doesn't remember her life before she was seven and found wandering naked on the streets of Prague. She was taken in as a unique member of The House of Pink Curtains a popular location for Rich Tourists to visit discreetly. Here she learned how to disguise herself often as her Client's daughters. In her teens she vanished taking the entirety of the building's earnings, killing her former caretakers, and burning the building down for good measure. At 16 she joined the military after assuming the alias of a dead teen she had found in a hostel. Gaining training in combat and military tactics she eventually disappeared along with a confiscated shipment of weapons and cash. Thus began her foray into crime seizing control of the local crime syndicate. She had Men and women ready to die for her. Men or women in her bed every night, alcohol, fine food.... And yet she was bored. At 20 she found Another mutant such as her a powerful warrior who could heal even better than she could. Brutal and feral she nursed him back to health. The circumstances behind what happened next are undetermined but at 28 she gave birth to a daughter Tomie and left her with a childless couple in a small Village in Japan. When World war 2 reared it's ugly head she was in Europe once more and joined the Jewish Underground as a spy and assassin. At one point she found an young Jewish boy who had escaped the camps and took him in he had gifts like her and he was the first person since her childhood she allowed to see her true form. She explained to him of those in the world with gifts like theirs. And how people would use them if they could. She encouraged him to use his pain and rage to become a protector not of just his religion but of people like them. She Left him with other members of the Jewish Underground. And continued her mission to stop the Nazi Threat. However while attempting to infiltrate Hitler's inner circle she was captured by an Psychic employed by the Fuhrer and given to Hydra for experiments. During a raid by Captain America she was freed and escaped the exploding base but shrapnel struck her and caused damage to her memory putting her into a coma for ten years. When she eventually awoke she was being kept as a trophy by a psychopath. She escaped and ended up in a new age . Though when you had no memories anything even your own time was New to you. As she relearned her gifts she became a professional criminal. The sixties were a weird time resulting in the birth of a son given to a Catholic church in Germany. She eventually traveled to America to indulge in her gifts and find what she sought in life. But without purpose life was fleeting.
