Lanas is a Bajoran male who stands at 6 feet tall, with short cropped auburn hair, brown eyes nearing black, and dusky skin.  He has six ridges across his nose, which is slightly misshapen from a break years ago.  He maintains a fit physique through steady combat training and bears old scars on his hands, forearms, and chin.  For those who know where to look, he lacks the usual Bajoran earring.  His security uniform is kept in pristine condition, and he generally greets strangers with a glower, if he makes an effort to greet them at all.  For the exceptionally perceptive, there is a slight bump in the fabric of his uniform at the small of his back, where his combat knife is sheathed.
