Character description/personality:
Thanks to her transformation, Miranda has purple skin and an eerie gaze as if she were undead. She isn't undead, but she is touched by death. Touched by Shadow. Her personality has suffered the most, though, as she was once an outgoing, friendly child. Now, she seems cold at first glance and hard to impress. She finds it harder to express emotion and has a quieter tone about her. Even the way she moves seems ghostly and sometimes people swear she just seems to "appear" at places rather than be seen walking there.

Character background:
Miranda was the child of a pair of wealthy merchants. But one day, the home she and her parents lived in caught fire. The house was burned to the ground, but the parents had a savings that was not located in the house. Miranda, though, suffered major burns, and died of smoke inhalation. The parents, used to getting anything they wanted with money, and distraught with the death of their daughter, sought out ritual specialists. Her dead body was given to the ritualists, who were payed to bring her back. However, Miranda's soul had already been wandering the Shadowfell for weeks by the time the ritual was ready. So the experts tried a different ritual: The Shade Ritual. With this, they bound a portion of the Shadowfell into Miranda, permitting her easier access back into the Prime Material. With a mix of mad science and ritual magic, Miranda was eventually brought back... but she would never be the same.

But there is another part of her background. While she was in the Shadowfell, Miranda met the ghost of a powerful fey. After a conversation and with some scrying showing just how far Miranda's parents were going to bring her back, the fey made a pact with Miranda to give her power should she be resurrected. Her end of the bargain was simple: Information. The fey spirit just wants to know what Miranda knows and experience what she experiences.
