Having been born in Karaz-A-Karak, in its many spans of deep rock-hewn vaults that stretch many leagues. Ulbaz was born to the Dorrgar Clan, which holds high authority in the Guild of Runesmiths. Like his father and his fathers father, Ulbaz trained in the arts of Runesmithing. Seeking all the knowledge he could gather before it was time for him to venture off on his own and look for new materials and new runescripts. Having learned all he could from the teachers, they too knew it was time for him to depart and walk the Old World, and put his runes to the test.

His first Rune sword, was a gift to his brother, Ulfg. Having triumphed over the hoarding beastmen, the blade was blessed by good omens.

Ulbaz is seen lugging around all of his stuff most of the time. He plans to someday get a wagon to help him with the more heavy stuff, and knows that if he ever plans to travel with a group, that a horse and wagon will be a vital part of his possessions. But for now he lugs his items with him. Mostly his Smith Tools, which account for most of the weight on him. Even though the tools and gear is spread out across his stout little form, the bulk of it looks to make him twice the size he normally is.

Because of the weight, he favors his left leg, and if you watch him really close you will see that he moves with a slight limp. his hair is dark black, and his beard already graying. His eyes are a light brown and show strong emotion, more so when gemstones and rare metals are around.
