Haakon is blonde, so very blonde as befits a Thuringian such as himself.  He dresses well since he is a dressmaker, but tends to use more fur than one would normally consider strictly fashionable since he is also a hunter.  Sometimes, he tones things down as well, because he can do subtle.  He can do subtle so well that his wife, Tawna the wereweasel has sometimes paid him the ultimate compliment ("You think like a wereweasel".)

He is human though, with monkey boy curiosity and Thuringian boldness.  When he gets too bold, Tawna calls him "crazy Haakon".

He has... shot a dragon from the sky; sacked two cities (once with the aid of his wife and his cousin); set up the Vesontio Highway Patrol; conned a hag out of all her power by including her in 'we'; travelled up the Rhine and down the Danube; married a wereweasel on the same day as a royal wedding so that his wedding was paid for by the State, which is the least they could do in the circumstances; conned an ogre out of his boat; fought a naval battle; been blessed by Gods and some other stuff he's forgotten.... and somehow managed never even to MENTION any of this stuff, anywhere near a bard.
