David Erickson is 17 years old.  His parents had their own church in Kearney, Nebraska called Way of Faith ministries. He attended a local public school until 6th grade when he told his parents that he found a girl attractive and has been home-schooled since. He was to take his father's place as the next preacher at their church.  Times were tough or their little church and that caused a lot of tension between his parents and the appearance of the novas didn't help anything.  His father considered them to be demons and false profits, his mother angels and chosen messengers.

There was almost an accident in the last winter he stayed with his parents, his father lost control of the car and almost nose dived off a cliff but they were saved by a nova.  His father screamed at the nova for trying to usurp God's will and his mother was rightfully thankful as was David.  They got back in the car and traveled back to their home. Upon closing the door his father lost it and screamed that the family was through he couldn't stay with a nova lover anymore and his mother defended novas the whole time while David watched and suddenly he erupted...exemplifying his parents beliefs about novas.  He had the wings of an angel but they felt as though they were demonic.  Claws grew from his hands, his body refused to fully touch the earth again.  Strangest of all he had the ability to bathe a chosen target in Heaven's light or force them to face hellfire.

His father called him a demon and walked out without looking back.  His mother cried, hugged her son and told him to seek out Project Utopia like all the other heroes.

He promised her that he would show his father that even demons deserve forgiveness and that he would show her how much of an angel he could be. His road to redemption would begin at Utopia's doors as he helped forge a better tomorrow.
