From the way Xenon speaks, it's easy to speculate that he has some background in the sciences or government.  But it's virtually impossible to determine much else.  The genius nova has no obvious origin, no history, no record as an Elite and has not even formally registered his nova name.  He claims no country, and came to Vigilance of his own volition.  Comstock, Slider and Phantasm have extended him a great deal of trust, but if they know more than anyone else they have not told anyone yet.

Xenon always wears a sealed bodysuit with a mirrored faceplate on the helmet, occasionally accompanied by a simple rain-poncho if outdoors.  The suit provides some sort of psychological support for Xenon, a phenomenon that has been traced to a growing number of novas in the late 2000's, and Xenon only rarely removes any part of the suit of his own volition.  What's more, the suit is obviously designed to be reminiscent of the clothing of Dr. Zero, and Xenon will readily admit he possesses a great deal of respect for the missing nova's work.

Suggesting that he is Dr. Zero earns only disappointment and a firm statement of denial: whoever Xenon is, he does not share the same character or philosophy.  Where Dr. Zero was irreverent and energetic, Xenon is stolid and nonreactive.  He behaves in a quiet and friendly fashion, never roused to anger or great emotion.  He keeps his agenda secret, and employs his considerable intelligence and organizational talents to the task of applying Vigilance's thin resources to the ever increasing list of problems around the globe.

Xenon does not disclose many of his powers.  He is hyperintelligent and almost impossible to read.  He floats, and can fly though not with the tremendous speed of a Gale or Solitaire.  He can also produce a soporific gas, useful for putting agressors to sleep and halting energetic reactions.

Xenon stands six feet tall.  Generally, he floats from place to place, but when at rest he weighs 140lbs.
