History: Sir Jean D'Arzillières was born the forth son of Lord Thierry D'Arzillières, Knight Martial to the Duke of Champagne. While Lord Thierry was a successful warlord and owner of considerable estates no noble in West Frankland is wealthy enough to suit four sons. Rather than fight his brothers for a parcel of land too small to support himself Jean took his lifetime of military training and rode out into the world to seek his own fortune. As his birth right he took with him only his grandfather's sword "Cercuil Clou" [Coffin Nail].

Like most members of the Frankish warrior elite Jean is a horse soldier of surpassing skill and has great facility with all of the traditional Frankish weapons, the Spear, the Throwing Axe, and most significantly the Sword.
