Mythos
It happened upon one day that the skies grew dark and a great crack of fire and thunder split apart the clouds raining down a new terror upon the lands. Rocks and monsters fell from the sky for days before the rift sealed again. Now the world is under attack by hordes of terrifying entities that seek to destroy everything humanity has built...This game use a custom d20 system and will be combat-light roleplay heavy. We will explore the darker side of a high fantasy world as the characters make difficult decisions that will label them heroes to some and villains to others. The world is in danger and no one can save it with unstained hands. But there is a question you must answer: How far would you be willing to go to save your world...?
The game includes the following:
- Politics: High stats means NOTHING if you can't roleplay.
- Role Trumps Roll: Whether you pass or fail is determined by your responses, choices and descriptions. Your rolls merely determine how SEVERELY you pass/fail.
- Rewards: Rewards are roleplay-based, NOT combat-based.
- Teamwork: Working together as a team is VITAL! Share the spotlight, don't wander away from the group and don't bully others.
- Character Death: Character deaths are possible Game of Thrones style. Good roleplayers get heroic and meaningful deaths. Bring a back-up character!
This is a survival game set in an apocalyptic war between humanity and monstrous invaders from another plane. It is likely your main character may not even survive the entire story arc (think Game of Thrones), but if they do die it shall be a glorious heroic death sung in epic tales long after they're gone. Players continue the story by taking up new characters even after their old one has died as the entire world begins fighting for their very lives. All characters begin as leaders of a group of people. They will use troops and resources to stave off enemies as well as fight and roleplay with your character and coordinate with others in this war for survival.
