As Commander of the Mountain North region Michael is a senior member of Project Phoenix.  His background is US Navy where he rose to the rank of XXXX.  Rumour has it that he specialised in the assessment of military intelligence and was regarded as a leading expert in drawing conclusions from "enemy" activities.

He is in his late thirties and works hard to keep himself fit and trim.  He is intelligent, well educated and confident in his abilities, staying calm in stressful conditions and usually making the right decision.
