Markos is a strapping figure at 18.5 hands tall and weighing in at 13 stone 8.   He is overly equipped, looking as if he raided an armory and is trying to carry away all the weapons at once.

He wears simple clothes of breeches and tunic, and overtop that is well-cared for but but well-worn chainmail.  His carries a very fine shield, but unadorned.   He does not wear a helm as it tends to fall off, or into his eyes.  Markos is not young and his dark hair and beard are flecked with grey.  His hair is long and loose, while the beard is kept short.

At his side is a longsword and tucked into loops on his belt are 3 hand axes.  On his back is a ladened pack, water skins, and a spear pokes over his shoulder.  A shortbow can also be spied, and the quiver hangs low at his side.

A former man at arms, Markos long-time employer was a Lordship who fell upon on hard times, leaving Markos without a job.  So he set out on his own, seeking fame and fortune, as noone else was going to support him.
