Mikel is, in his true form, relatively short, (about 165cm/ 5ft 6in), and lean like a greyhound. He has pale olive skin, black curled hair, and a handsome, rounded face, with large pointed ears, deep set dark brown eyes, gaunt cheeks and an absent smile.


In his human form, he appears as the short, lean greek man in his late twenties his fae form caricatures; His human face is not as gaunt and his shoulders and hips in proportion. Otherwise his seeming and mask is quite similar.
He dresses impeccably in locally produced, Byzantine style clothing; Long, brightly colored tunics,dalmaticas and cloaks, decorated with finer fabrics, tight pants and locally produced shoes. All of this is very expensive, and they Byzantine style is quite fashionable for the upper classes.

On campaign he wears shorter tunics, a Frankish short-sleeved mail shirt with a Byzantine style sash around the chest, and the usual pointed helmet. He is armed with familiar weapons in a unfamiliar way, fighting with a small Frankish domed shield rather than the larger, flat Norse variety, a very short bow he carries in some strange kind of homemade scabbard that also contains arrows, and a frankish sword.
