Blodrun

A young woman with dark, thin hair that hangs listlessly down from her scalp. She has the homely face of a peasant, somewhat on the pale side, with a prominent chin and a good dozen pox marks. The exception is her eyes. The pupils are black, the irises a pale blue, but what would normally be white is deep red instead, as though several blood vessels have just burst in her eyes.

The woman dresses in a long, red-dyed woolen robe. It's worn and patched, but well mended. In some places, the color has faded away - in others, it has been reinforced by stains of a deeper, rusty red.

It's only when she reaches out with a slender arm with its long, dextrous fingers that it becomes obvious that she's bleeding. Slow trickles of blood run down her hands, both the palms and backs, trickling between her fingers, dripping into her robes and onto the floor.
