Derek Volker is long lean young man with wiry build. He has brown hair which he wears long but pulled back from his handsome but still boyish face. Volker wears darker clothes, and wears a hooded cloak that conceals what might be some leather armor, and also a short but deadly sword.

His accent is that of a Middenlander.
